From Kiosk to House

In 1947, M. N. Advani arrived in Indonesia, carrying with him generations of tailoring knowledge from the Indian subcontinent. Two years later, he opened the first Laxmi shop in Pecenongan, Jakarta's vibrant commercial quarter.

What began as a modest kiosk quickly gained recognition through word of mouth. Our commitment to impeccable fit and discrete service attracted Jakarta's most distinguished citizens.

"Tailoring for statesmen, diplomats, and Jakarta's elite."

By the 1960s, Laxmi Tailors had become synonymous with excellence, serving government officials, business leaders, and international diplomats who valued both discretion and distinction.
